Construction Basics with Centric - Spark Event
Centric is excited to welcome Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts on their jobsite of the Ambassador hotel addition for an up close and personal look at the construction world. After a jobsite tour, girls will learn to mix and pour concrete themselves and will also test their critical thinking skills as they work through a construction scheduling puzzle. Both the tour and activities will be led by a female project manager and female architect from Centric providing the perfect opportunity to ask any questions they have on the industry.
• Girl Scouts will meet at the job site trailer which is in the parking lot just off McGee, between 11th and 12th Street. There is a paid parking garage ($5) that is one block to the east, or a paid lot directly to the north of 11th street between McGee and Grand.
• Girls and adults who are participating MUST wear hard sole shoes/boots, jeans and sleeved shirts. Clothes may get dirty or muddy so please wear clothing where that is okay.
