HappyBottoms Diaper Drive and Wrapping Event
Help HappyBottoms collect size 5 diapers for families in need, then join them at a special wrapping event with Henderson Engineering!
Step 1: Collect diapers! Hold a diaper drive at a school, place of worship, grocery store or other business. HappyBottoms accepts all sizes of diapers but size 5 are the most needed so focusing on collecting them would be most helpful. Collection can start any time but will need to be finished by Nov 9.
Step 2: Bring collected diapers to the wrapping event on Nov. 10! Troops will be responsible for bringing the diapers they collect to Henderson Engineering offices on Saturday, Nov. 10. Once they've arrived with their diapers, troops will have the opportunity to package the diapers for distribution to KC metro families in need. This involves counting and wrapping the diapers with materials supplied by HappyBottoms.
During the wrapping event there will be speakers from Henderson Engineering talking about getting girls involved in math and science and HappyBottom speakers talking about the importance of giving back to the community and the impact it has.
Additional Info: HappyBottoms has materials to hand out to educate people about the need for diapers and their mission. Learn more at www.happybottoms.org
