The Kansas City Region hosts five FIRST LEGO League qualifying tournaments November through December.  This is the fourth qualifier of the season. Teams that advance from these qualifiers to championships compete for top regional honors at an all day event at MCC-BT. This event is free and open to the public. FIRST LEGO League is for 4th – 8th graders.  Students and adults are happy to explain their robot and their project which innovates a solution to problems associated with Manned Spaceflight.

This is a great event for troops who are working on their robotics badges!

Journey/Badge Connections: Robotics or space related badges/journeys

Cost per person: Free

Registration Requirements: All girls participating as a Girl Scout in this activity must be registered Girl Scout members. If attending as a troop, all volunteers also need to be registered members and/or have completed and approved background checks. If non-registered individuals (adults or tags) are allowed to participate in this activity supplemental insurance is required. Use the Insurance Purchase Form to purchase insurance at least 3 weeks prior to the event. Completed forms can be emailed to programapprovals@gsksmo.org.
