Kansas City Zoo: Wonders of Water Workshop

Dive into the wetlands at the Zoo. This two-hour workshop will help Brownies begin (but not complete) their Wonders of Water Journey badge. Discover the water cycle and learn the importance of wetlands in the ecosystem. And, let’s not forget the animals that live in the wetlands!

• Themed activities to help begin (but not necessarily complete) certain requirements

• Animal encounter with some of our education animal ambassadors

• Zoo tour

• Each Brownie will receive a journal containing activity pages that reinforce each concept discussed

A minimum of 10 Brownies per workshop is required. One chaperone per 10 children.

Pre-registration and prepayment is required for all events.

Cost Per Girl: $13.50 per FOTZ member child; $15 per non-FOTZ child (Zoo admission is not included.)

Registration Requirements: All girls participating as a Girl Scout in this activity must be registered Girl Scout members. If attending as a troop, all volunteers also need to be registered members and/or have completed and approved background checks. If non-registered individuals (adults or tags) are allowed to participate in this activity supplemental insurance is required. Use the Insurance Purchase Form to purchase insurance at least 3 weeks prior to the event. Completed forms can be emailed to programapprovals@gsksmo.org.
