Women in Security - Kansas City (WISKC) is an organization with a focus on supporting, inspiring and promoting women in IT security throughout their career. WISKC is excited to partner with Girl Scouts of NE Kansas and NW Missouri to share that passion to inspire the next generation of female IT Security professionals.

Junior Girl Scouts are invited to join WISKC on April 28 for a hands-on interactive morning on how to keep themselves safe online. Girls will explore the safety settings on their android and iPhones, how to surf safely online, how to avoid digital drama and more! Physical safety and how it translates to online safety will also be explored in a fun and engaging session with a local pickpocket entertainer!

Parents and troop leaders are encouraged to join as well! Adults will be given time to explore and learn from what girls are experiencing, but will also be given a special safety session on how to help keep their girls safe online.

Water and a snack will be provided. Girl Scouts with food allergies should feel free bringing their own snack to the event.

Cost per person: N/A
