On Tuesday, February 12, Transportation YOU (a sub-committee of Women in Transportation Seminar Greater Kansas City Chapter) will bring together female professionals in the transportation industry to network and talk about their careers with young women (ages 13-18). The event will be centered around the career speed mentoring component, in which small groups of girls will rotate around the transportation station for 5-7 minutes at a time, providing them with an opportunity to converse in a comfortable setting with female role models who have diverse roles in the transportation industry. The stations featured will include: transit, aviation, construction, environmental, communications, and more. We will provide a light dinner, giveaways, and prizes. Parents are welcome to attend for the entire event and will be invited to meet with members of the WTS Board of Directors to talk about how to best support their daughters to pursue a career in a technical field.

Girl Scout badges available for a $5 fee for those interested.
