Brownies and Juniors are encouraged to come join a fun morning to work on their Cybersecurity Badge 3: Cybersecurity Investigator. Girl Scouts we will take a deep dive into a Hacker’s Mind. The Hacker’s mind will simulate real-life experiences by putting the girls in the mind of an attacker. Girl Scouts will also work to crack a code and solve a problem they might see in the cybersecurity world.  Along with earning certain steps on the badges, Girl Scouts will be working alongside women who have amazing careers in the industry and learning through interaction how cool a job in cybersecurity can be!

Parents, we haven’t forgotten you! Have questions about how to keep your girls safe online? Wondering what you should be keeping an eye on as your girls get more and more involved in technology? There will be a session just for you to ask members of Women in Security those questions that are on your mind.

Brownies will complete steps 1, 2, 4 & 5. Troop Leaders should plan to achieve step 3 in an additional meeting.

Juniors will complete steps 1, 3, 4 & 5. Troop Leaders should plan to achieve step 3 in an additional meeting.

This is the 3rd badge in the Cybersecurity Badge series. Troop Leaders should have plans on earning the other two badges in their troops.

All Girl Scouts will earn a special WISKC security badge upon completion of the day. Light snacks will be provided. If your Girl Scout has allergies please pack a snack for her to enjoy. After the event girls can head over to Union Station, Crown Center, Liberty Memorial or jump on the street car and check out the River Market and have lunch.
