Here is a wonderful opportunity to introduce the world of birding to girl scouts. Teams will hike the trails around Lake Lodge in Swope Park with the support and guidance of a Missouri Master Naturalist. The morning activities include: some basic birding skills, common bird identification, followed by the bird hike. The goal is to identify as many species of birds as possible in the event time frame. It may fulfill some outdoor skills needed for a badge.
