Tall Oaks: Wilderness Camp Night
Led by trained Tall Oaks staff, participants will live out 24 hours of outdoor immersion. Learn how to set up tents, cook meals over the campfire, and navigate the 360 acres of Tall Oaks using only a compass and map. By night, stargaze while learning about the legends of the constellations. By day, take advantage of the seclusion and beauty of Tall Oaks to learn about types of pollution and the effect they have one everything around us, Leave No Trace etiquette, different plant identifications, how to filter your water in the wilderness, and so much more through interactive activities that are sure to captivate and inspire the wilderness women in all of us!
Additional Information: Parking will be near campsite #1.
Cost Per Girl: $55 & includes all food and equipment (tents, compasses and tents, cookout equipment and food)
Cost Per Adult: $35
Registration Requirements: All girls participating as a Girl Scout in this activity must be registered Girl Scout members. If attending as a troop, all volunteers also need to be registered members and/or have completed and approved background checks. If non-registered individuals (adults or tags) are allowed to participate in this activity supplemental insurance is required. Use the Insurance Purchase Form to purchase insurance at least 3 weeks prior to the event. Completed forms can be emailed to email@example.com.
This activity is classified as higher risk or includes an overnight and therefore requires an Activity and Trip Application. Please complete this form at least 6 weeks prior to the participation in this activity.
