Virtual Celebrating Community for Brownies

Be a landmark detective and celebrate your community Brownies! Virtually explore a museum dedicated to a native Kansan, U.S. Senator Bob Dole’s legacy in public service and hear about the WWII memory wall in honor of veterans of the greatest generation. Discuss your community symbols such as Kansas state motto, animals, and observe the world’s largest stained glass American flag! Learn about the American flag and how to fold the flag honorably. Please join us for both sessions (October 12 and 19) of this two-part program.

Session 1 will be held on October 12 at 5:00 P.M. and Session 2 will be held on October 19 at 5:00 P.M.

Steps 1 - 5 are covered by the two sessions with homework in between. Girls can purchase their completed badge by visiting

Additional Info:

  • This program will be live on Zoom. You must register for the program to be sent the virtual Zoom meeting information.
  • Girls will need a pencil, notebook paper, and colored pencils or crayons.
  • Please individually register each of your Girl Scouts (even if you are meeting in person altogether). This will help give an accurate count. If you are a leader who is having the girls watch together on one computer please email Julie Clover afterwards with how many girls were watching - this will also promote accurate counts.
