Come sketch in the galleries, then do some drawing and painting in the studio classrooms! Each Girl Scout will receive a sketchbook and a Shuttlecock Fun Patch when they check in. Troops will be free to explore at their own pace with a guardian or troop leader.  

Brownies will complete the following badge requirements for the Painting badge

  • Get inspired
  • Paint a mood
  • Paint without brushes

Juniors will complete the following badge requirements for the Drawing badge

  • Experiment with different materials
  • Learn how to add shading
  • Get some perspective
  • Make your masterpiece-and show it off!

Additional info:

  • Teaching Artists will demonstrate drawing techniques in the galleries
  • Create an original work of art in the studio classrooms 
  • A parent, care partner, or troop leader must accompany Girl Scouts while in the museum

There are two sessions being offered: 12-2pm and 1-3pm
