Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey

The mission of Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey (KCFAA) is making dance accessible to all people by presenting the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Ailey II, teaching young people critical life skills through dance, and modeling interracial and multi-cultural community partnerships.

KCFAA Dance Workshop*

  All Levels

A KCFAA teaching artist conducts a Modern and Jazz, Ballet or Hip-Hop dance technique class. The workshop includes warm-up, isolations, floor work, stretching, strengthening and choreographic instruction. Students learn elements of dance (mental alertness, sequencing, listening, following directions, attention to detail) and how they relate to developing successful life skills.

Additional info: Girls will receive a KCFAA fun patch with participation.

Cost Per Girl: $8.00 ($90 minimum)
