Cookie Construction 2020
AIA Kansas City and its committee, Women in Design, and Girls Scouts of NE Kansas & NW Missouri are excited to bring Cookie Construction for its sixth year to area Girl Scouts. Girl Scouts will work in teams with female professionals from the design industry, over six months, to create structures out of Girl Scout Cookie boxes culminating with a build day in March.
Early bird registration - register prior to August 15 (extended from Aug. 1) and save $5 off the registration fee. Space is limited. There will be a max of 5 Kansas City based teams, one Topeka based team and one St. Joseph based team. Spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. See registration information below. This activity will require multiple meetings prior to the final build, involving all team members. Girl Scouts will have at least one meeting per month to attend as well as some work to do at home in between. For the Kansas City teams, most meetings will take place in downtown Kansas City. Those participating are expected to attend all team meetings. Please review our frequently asked questions for more information.
