Giving Hope & Help is a nonprofit organization that supports domestic violence survivors, provides essential resources to end period poverty, empowers college bound and non-traditional students and inspires cancer patients, lifting all those we serve to live their best life.

Giving Parade Collection Drive

 All Levels

The Giving Parade will benefit GH&H and support our mission to end period poverty.  Period products promote healthy living and #CEED, Confidence, Education, Empowerment and Dignity.

All Girl Scouts that donate at the Giving Parade will receive a Giving Hope & Help patch at the Giving Parade. 

Items needed:

  • Individually wrapped panty liners
  • Individually wrapped feminine wipes
  • Organic and Regular Pads with Wings all sizes
  • Organic and Regular Tampons, all sizes
  • Reusable pads
  • Period Panties
  • Diva Cups
  • PACKAGED girl’s boys and women’s panties

Additional info: Items should be dropped off at Camp Prairie Schooner or Camp Tongawood during the Giving Parade on November 5.

VIRTUAL OPPORTUNITIES:
Education on Menstruation and Period Poverty 

 Junior    Cadette    Senior    Ambassador

Girls will learn about menstruation and what changes the body goes through as they mature and grow into womanhood. 

They will learn about how to manage their cycles and the different products available for use. 

They will also learn what period poverty is and how girls do not have access to feminine products which effects their education. They will learn that access to period products creates #CEED, confidence, education, empowerment and dignity.

They will learn how they can help be a solution to period poverty in their communities and beyond.

They will be inspired to advocate for all girls to have access to period products. 

They will learn about the Giving Hope & Help LOVE Bags 4 Her-filled with period products and year round period product drives that domestic violence shelters, places of refuge, natural disaster survivors and those in need locally and across the globe.

Cost per girl: $5 (A Giving Hope & Help fun patch is available for purchase for $1.50/patch)

Additional info: Please note that these workshops could be considered sensitive topics.  Parent permission will need to be received using the Healthy History & Annual Permission Form prior to the workshop.
