Create Your World

  Brownie     Junior     Cadette     Senior     Ambassador

Create Your World is an interactive learning experience designed to inspire kids with the power of code and the internet. It aims to do this by helping them understand how code and technology are connected to topics that already interest them: Music + Code

○      Teach kids about the power of the internet

○      How to create musical instruments out of everyday objects

Music Station: Compose original music and present to the group using Makey Makey kit, a Chromebook, and a few online tools.

Turn It Up: MUSIC + CODE will explore the way technology, coding, and the Internet are changing how people make music.

Music Meets the Web - Super Looper: Super Looper is also written entirely in web-based programming languages, but will work more closely with what the students will be doing for the Create portion of the workshop. Super Looper will allow students to create a multi-layered composition based solely on loops. Students will spend some time playing with Super Looper, then make their own loop.

Programmed with Code: These sites let students go even further by using a virtual coding language made simple to put together new sound combinations. Made With Code – Beats: Use an introductory coding language to change the number of notes and the speed of each instrument as it rotates in a colorful and visual music mixer.
