Hillside Honey Apiary
Hillside Honey is a family and veteran owned bee farm located in Kansas. We offer not only local raw unfiltered honey but infused and creamed honey as well. We small batch and hand make all of our lotion bars, lip balms, hand creams, salves, deodorants and other skin care products using beeswax from our own beehives. Our bees forage on wildflowers on pastures and lands along the Missouri River from Leavenworth, Kansas to Atchison, Kansas.

Cost Per Girl: $7
Cost Per Adult: $7 (1 free adult for every 10 girls)
Registration Requirements: All girls participating as a Girl Scout in this activity must be registered Girl Scout members. If attending as a troop, all volunteers also need to be registered members and/or have completed and approved background checks. If non-registered individuals (adults or tags) are allowed to participate in this activity supplemental insurance is required. Use the Insurance Purchase Form to purchase insurance at least 3 weeks prior to the event. Completed forms can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.

Hillside Honey Apiary offers a 1-2 hour look into what a beekeeper does, the importance of pollinators and the environment, and hands on experience where the Girl Scouts and adults will put on a bee suit and open a live hive with our beekeepers. Girl Scouts will be able to hold a live frame of bees and pictures are encouraged! We have bee suits sized from 5 year olds and up. We customize the tour based on the age group and the troop leader’s needs to support your focus.
