Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts

The Kauffman Center, home to resident organizations the Kansas City Ballet, Lyric Opera, Kansas City Symphony, and other innovative programming, embraces a variety of audiences with different tastes, interests and passions. Registration Requirements:  All girls participating as a Girl Scout in these activities must be registered Girl Scout members. If attending as a troop, all volunteers also need to be registered members and/or have completed and approved background checks. If non-registered individuals (adults or tags) are allowed to participate supplemental insurance is required. Use the Insurance Purchase Form to purchase insurance at least 3 weeks prior to the event. Completed forms can be emailed to

Architecture Tours

All Age Levels  

The Kauffman Center Children’s Tour focuses primarily on the facility’s architecture, and it includes access to both of the performance venues. The tour lasts about 45 minutes and does not include backstage access. Learn about design, color, shape and texture at one of Kansas City’s premiere landmarks!

Cost Per Girl: N/A (maximum is 20 students per tour) 
Cost Per Adult: N/A (maximum is 10 adults per tour)

How to Register: To begin the scheduling process, submit the “Request a Tour” form on the Kauffman Center’s website. Once the tour has been confirmed, contact with your troop name and number of participants to have the $100 tour fee waived.
