KC Pet Project is the 3rd largest no-kill animal shelter in the United States. Our mission is to end the killing of healthy and treatable pets in Kansas City, Missouri by using the most progressive and lifesaving programs and promoting effective animal control policies.

Pet Enrichmentment Treats

Support the pets of KC Pet Project by making enrichment treats at home. Visit the KC Pet Project website to view four videos with step by step instructions.

Due to COVID-19, donations may be dropped off in front of the south entrance of the campus on the donation table. 

Additional info: Brownies working on their Pets badge can complete step 4.

Virtual Shelter Tour

 All Levels

Take a virtual tour of KC Pet Project's new shelter. The virtual tour will take you behind the scenes to areas not open to the public and will include a Q&A time with a member of their staff.

YOU SCHEDULE IT! OPPORTUNITIES:

Canine Enrichment

 All Levels

Create valuable enrichment treats for the shelter pets! Each troop will have a presentation about our shelter, our history and how far we've come. They will talk about responsible pet ownership and care and the difference between "adopting and shopping". They will have a visit from a member of the Canine Care team upon availability, make some enrichment treats for the residents of the shelter, and then be given an educational tour through the public areas of our beautiful facility located in the middle of Swope Park.

Additional: Troops should decide ahead of time which enrichment treat they want to make and bring the needed supplies. Instructions and ingredients are available on the KC Pet Project website.

Cost: $25/troop + supplies needed for the enrichment treat
