Planet Comicon Kansas City

Join us for this exciting Girl Scout & Kansas City tradition bringing together fandom and celebrating the arts. This year, Planet Comicon is offering two options for Girl Scouts:

Address: Bartle Hall Kansas City Convention Center, 301 W 13th St, Kansas City, MO 64105    

Registration Requirements:  All girls participating as a Girl Scout in these activities must be registered Girl Scout members. If attending as a troop, all volunteers also need to be registered members and/or have completed and approved background checks. If non-registered individuals (adults or tags) are allowed to participate in this activity supplemental insurance is required. Use the Insurance Purchase Form to purchase insurance at least 3 weeks prior to the event. Completed forms can be emailed to programapprovals@gsksmo.org.

Planet Comicon: Free Pass for Girl Scouts

Planet Comicon Kansas is the region's largest pop culture and comic book convention, with a 19 year history. The first Planet Comicon KC was held in 1999 in Overland Park, KS and has grown into a three-day extravaganza attended by tens of thousands of fans from across the country. Planet Comicon KC features the best in comic books, as well as fantasy, sci fi and superhero television and film. It is held in vibrant downtown Kansas City, near the Power & Light District.

Cost Per Girl: Free (March 22 only) however girls must register to receive their free pass to attend the event.
Cost Per Adult:
$34.99 (March 22 only)

Planet Comicon Girl Scout Workshop Save the Date!

* Workshop registration will open in mid-February *

Girl Scouts have the exclusive opportunity for a guided creative session with technique tips from published Comic Book Artists! Girls will spend one hour with professional comic book learning about the various parts of drawing while also coming up with creations of their own. Sessions will take place throughout the day.

Cost Per Girl: Free (March 22 only)
Cost Per Adult: $34.99 (admission to Planet Comicon). There is no charge for adults to attend the workshop.

Additional Info: Girl Scouts will be admitted free into Planet Comicon 2020 on Sunday March 22. Adults who wish to attend will need to purchase admission to Planet Comicon. This is NOT a drop off event. Girl Scouts should bring their own pens, pencils, and paper. Limited supplies may be available at the event.
