Junior
Participants will learn how to conduct a walk-ability study and learn about the impact of the environment on biking and walking. This is done by taking a short walk around a school, neighborhood, grocery store or other location of choice and analyzing things like sidewalk conditions, traffic speed and behavior, overall comfort level and other barriers present. Participants will use data collected on the walk to give the area a “score” of walkability and begin a discussion about how we can take action to make the area safer and more walkable/bikeable.
