Additional info: Note that these are not Girl Scout specific camps. The staff are not background checked by Girl Scouts and Girl Scout staff will not be there. Girls should bring their lunches, water, and any snacks they want.

Middle School Media Mania #1

May 31-June 2, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

We'll be hands-on from day one with Video Production, Video Editing, Audio Production, Script-Writing, Pod-Casting, Animation, Acting, and whatever forms of Digital Media make their way into camp.  From fancy phones to DSLR's we'll learn to shoot with what we have and focus on great storytelling.  From the lighting to the green screen to the silver screen, we'll learn it all and discuss the incredible STEM advancements over the years that have enabled digital access for the masses.  I'm sure our blooper reel will be longer than the actual films we make. Let's have a blast together finding out and creating something great.

Super Cool STEM Camp #5

June 13-17, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Why is this called Super Cool STEM Camp?  Because robots, 3d modeling, 3d printing, digital media, problem solving, engineering, teamwork, friendships, and fun are all Super Cool.  Each day presents new challenges.  One day we will be working in the world of 3D Design, modeling, and animation, the next day we'll be building and programming robots.  One day will be digital media involving video and photography, and the next day we will be doing science experiments covering all of the engineering principles.  We will have working professionals and teachers presenting all of these disciplines in fun and engaging ways.  I'm very excited to offer this to parents and students and am working hard to make it the best summer This will be our fifth year of hosting this camp and it's only getting better each summer.  This camp is a unique opportunity to truly inspire your child in many areas of STEM.  We'll work independently and we'll work in teams.  We'll present what we've learned and what our challenges were.  Each day will be unique, free-flowing but structured, and lots of fun. For incoming 3-6th graders.

Intro to Robotics - Lego EV3 Space Mission

July 5-8, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

If you've always wanted to learn about robotics - how they work, their components, their mechanics, their usefulness this is the camp for you.  This Small Group (only 10 students) will get to jump into this awesome world using the amazing Lego Mindstorms EV3 to solve missions guided by the Lego Education Space Challenge Missions.  Of course, the final day will only be complete with a Battle Bots Challenge!!  This class will meet for three hours for four days in July.  Partner this with the afternoon **Maker Class and get a full day out of it.  The age range is strongly recommended for incoming 4th-8th graders with an eagerness to problem solve and learn awesome stuff.  **The Maker Class will be more advanced and encouraged for 5th grade and up.

Master Makers #1

July 5-8, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

The main focus and goal of this class will be to build and create our own LED Infinity Cubes.  Using 3d printed material, we'll assemble, program, and display our new creations.  Each student will learn how to solder LED lights together, install power, program controllers, and finalize this amazing build.  Encouraged for older students eager to learn and try new things.  (Middle School and Up) Every student will get to keep their own Infinity Cube and any other builds we have time to complete.  This class will meet for three hours every afternoon for four days in July.  Partner this with the Intro to Robotics class in the morning to make a full day out of it.  A minimum of six students for the class will be required to host it.  Please invite a friend and create together.
