Inspire a Girl
Inspire a Girl is our council’s initiative to encourage Girl Scouts to work toward their Highest Awards (Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards) and celebrate service to others. This initiative is two-fold beginning with our Month of Service in March and followed by our BIG G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™ Event, the G.I.R.L. Expo & Gold Award Ceremony in April. This event gives younger girls an opportunity to take on interactive program and community partner activities, learn more about the Highest Awards, get inspired by our Gold Award Girl Scouts’ projects and celebrate their incredible achievements.
SAVE THE DATE! Our next event is March 29, 2020!

Congratulations to our 2019 Gold Award Girl Scouts! Earned when she is in grades 9-12, the Gold Award is the highest honor a Girl Scout can achieve. This prestigious award is earned by a select group of Girl Scouts who demonstrate a high commitment to improving their communities and advocating for lasting change.

March is an important month for Girl Scouts as it’s our organization’s birthday month. Girl Scouts across our council give back all year round and in fact each Girl Scout gives an average of 30 hours per year. In honor of our birthday and as a lead into Inspire a Girl on March 29, 2020, we encourage all 23,000 of our Girl Scouts to complete Take Action/service projects in March. It’s our official Month of Service! We will be sharing AMAZING stories of service from our Girl Scouts.
