Inspire a Girl

Inspire a Girl is our council’s initiative to encourage Girl Scouts to work toward their Highest Awards (Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards) and celebrate service to others. This initiative is two-fold beginning with our Service to Others Month in March and followed by our BIG G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™ Event, the G.I.R.L. Expo & Gold Award Ceremony in April. This event gives younger girls an opportunity to take on interactive program and community partner activities, learn more about the Highest Awards, get inspired by our Gold Award Girl Scouts’ projects and celebrate their incredible achievements.

Inspire a Girl Month of Service is back for 2018! We will be collecting stories, photos and hours for all the AWESOME Take Action/service projects Girl Scouts do for the entire month of March. Beginning March 1, troops can complete our online form to receive the complimentary Month of Service patch.

Don’t have a project in mind? Harvesters Kansas City is hosting service project opportunities in March!

Projects must be completed in the month of March. Troops can submit through Friday, April 6, 2018.
