NEW LEADER EXPRESS - TROOP FUNDAMENTALS TRAINER
New Leader Express Part 2: Troop FUNdamentals is an in-person training that provides new troop leaders with the basics of planning and conducting troop meetings.

BE MORE, DO MORE TRAINER
This enrichment training is designed for veteran troop leaders who want to adapt their coaching techniques to build leadership skills in girls. 

SPANISH/ENGLISH NEW LEADER TRAINER
Attend & learn English training; provide Spanish version of training to new troop leaders.

SPANISH/ENGLISH COOKIE PROGRAM TRAINER
Attend & learn English training; provide Spanish version of training to volunteer troop cookie program managers.

GOLD AWARD PHOTOSHOOT PARTY VOLUNTEER
February 23, 11:00 am - 4:00pm
This luncheon event is for Gold Award Girl Scouts and parents/caregivers to learn more about Inspire a Girl. Girl Scouts  get to know one another and have a professional head shot taken. This event is at the UMKC Student Center.

NORTH REGION WORLD THINKING DAY
February 23
Help Girl Scouts from across the North Region celebrate World Thinking Day! Volunteers are needed to help troops check in, to hand out event passports, to sell World Thinking Day patches and to take passport photos. This event is held at the East Hills Mall in St. Joseph, MO.

INSPIRE A GIRL VOLUNTEER

G.I.R.L. Expo & Gold Award Ceremony, April 7 – This event provides an opportunity to celebrate our Gold Award Girl Scouts and give younger Girl Scouts an opportunity to see their path toward Gold by interacting and seeing our Gold Award Girl Scouts and their project displays. In addition, attendees take on engaging activities led by our program and community partner experts.

WORLD THINKING DAY EVENT VOLUNTEER
Events at the local community level where girls host booths to celebrate Girl Scouting around the world. More info coming soon!

OUTREACH TROOP MEETING VOLUNTEER
The Outreach Program serves girls in after-school programs in economically disadvantaged parts of the Kansas City. The program is funded through grants so that finances are not an obstacle to participation. The girls have weekly troop meetings during the school year, go on field trips and to camp each year. It’s our goal to create an equitable Girl Scout experience for some of our girls that need it the most. Since Outreach troops tend to be large, we can always use some extra hands during troop meetings and at events.

Assist our STEM Manager with the delivery of a webinar that teaches Junior Level Troop Leaders how to complete the Get Moving Journey. Juniors are Girl Scouts in 4th & 5th grade.

STEM WEBINAR ASSISTANT - CADETTE LEVEL
February 28, 2019, 5:30-8:00 pm
Assist our STEM Manager with the delivery of a webinar that teaches Cadette Level Troop Leaders how to complete the Breathe Journey. Cadettes are Girl Scouts in 6th, 7th & 8th grade.

THINK LIKE A CITIZEN SCIENTIST - PROGRAM ON DEMAND HELPER
March 2, 12:00 - 4:00 pm
Trained facilitators will lead all activities, and you will help with those activities, as well as coach girls through the program. 

STEM PROGRAM ON DEMAND FACILITATOR:
Attend training to learn the STEM program(s).   Facilitate hands-on STEM activities with groups of 15-20 girls with volunteer and/or staff support.

STEM PROGRAM ON DEMAND ASSISTANT:
Assist trained volunteers and staff to deliver STEM activities with groups of 15-20 girls.

STEM GUEST SPEAKER
Head to a troop meeting to talk to girls about your career in STEM.  If there is time in the troop meeting, you can also do a fun activity (provided by GS staff) with the girls.

STEAM INTEREST TROOP HELPER AND/OR PROGRAM EXPERT
Provide your expert STEAM knowledge by creating and facilitating program experiences for girls or assisting others support these activities.

Call Girl Scouts who are graduating from High School or have recently graduated from high school to encourage them to purchase a Lifetime Membership and gather information on their post-high school plans and any updated contact information.

DONOR BIRTHDAY/ANNIVERSARY CARD HELPERS
The Philanthropy Department sends Birthday Cards to donors each month and Anniversary Cards to donors on the anniversary of their first gift.
