Just for Teens

At Girl Scouts, girls are always counting down to the next adventure they'll go on together. Maybe it's artistic. Maybe it's an experiment. Maybe it's getting outside or helping the community. One thing's for sure. Every adventure is another chance to take the lead and make an impact.

The activities and opportunities below are facilitated by our GSKSMO staff and designed just for Teen Girl Scouts to build upon their Girl Scout Leadership Experience. This list is ever-evolving, so check back often!

A.C.E.S. (Advocacy, Civic Engagement, Service)

 Senior   Ambassador

The ACES pin represents a commitment to advocacy, civic engagement, and service. ACES Girl Scouts will be able to join us for a series of monthly community service events where you will learn and participate in advocacy and service alongside those who do it daily for our community. In addition to earning their ACES pin, Girl Scouts will be able to earn service hours for school, clubs, faith communities, sports teams, Girl Scout service bars, and resume building. At each service opportunity, there will be a Girl Scout staff member who will sign for and/or present each Girl Scout with documentation for their service.

ACES Girl Scouts will be presented with their pin at a Night of Fun and Service at camp in early May. Invitations will be sent.

To earn the ACES pin, Girl Scouts will participate in 5 of the 7 community service events OR participate in 4 community service events AND complete the GSKSMO Civic Engagement Scavenger Hunt.

Teen Leadership Circle

2022-2023 Team Leadership Circle
We are excited to announce that Teen Leadership Circle is back with a new and exciting twist! We are looking for Girl Scouts in 9th-12th grades to participate in making a difference in our council to benefit all the Girl Scouts we serve. This group of Girl Scouts will learn about the overall business plan for GSKSMO, be presented with current pain points/opportunities for growth for our council, be tasked with creating and presenting viable solutions (Shark Tank style!), then will work with council staff to put those solutions into action.  Here is your chance to create a legacy within our council!

2022- 2023 Application

Application is due November 7.
Interviews in November.

What's Next Series

 Senior   Ambassador

GSKSMO What's Next Series is designed to help Girl Scouts answer and prepare for the question everyone is asking them. "What's next?" Girl Scouts can pick and choose which events they want to participate in as they move through their High School years. Our hope is that through this series Girl Scouts will feel empowered and prepared to confidently respond to this weighty question.

2022-2023 season information coming this summer.
