Volunteer Appreciation Month

Smile and say thank you!

Send a handmade card, or create a scroll with a thank you proclamation signed by your group.

Give a bouquet of daisies.

Cover your community with signs that say “Thank You, Girl Scout Volunteers”.

Write a letter thanking your troop leader(s) or other special volunteer by name for their commitment to girls in their community.

Display a thank-you flyer on their lawn, mailbox, or front door and tie balloons to it.

Place a thank-you flyer on their car at work.

Take a volunteer’s picture and create a heartfelt social media post.

Bring your troop leader or special volunteer a treat, like coffee, with a note that says, “Thanks a LATTE.” What other cute sayings can you come up with for a gift?

Present leaders with homemade gifts from the girls and their families.

Take over an upcoming meeting with a surprise shout-out ceremony to your troop leader(s) / volunteer.

Coordinate with girls to create a special video that can be shared directly with the volunteer or uploaded to a social media post.

Host an appreciation dinner (maybe even as a potluck).

Make a financial contribution to GSKSMO in honor of your volunteer. We will send a special thank you note. Be sure to give us all the contact details.

Present your volunteer with a heart-shaped pin or something special from the GSKSMO Shop.

Organize a special outing for leaders to relax (i.e., movies, theatre, sporting event, spa, etc.).

Give a mug full of chocolate hugs and kisses as an appreciation gift.

Present your volunteers with appreciation certificates.

Thank volunteers for lending a “hand” by having girls trace their hands on a poster and decorating it.

In appreciation for the time given by volunteers, give the gift of thyme along with a recipe.

Send a small token of appreciation and attach a famous inspirational quote or proverb.

Give a festively wrapped Girl Scout Cookie box stuffed with thank-you notes from girls, families, and other special people in the volunteer’s life.
