Event Description
Girl Scouts will learn how cool space exploration is with cosmic crafts, science demos, hands-on activities, and brain-teaser games to inform and engage them as they work towards badges. It's an afternoon of hands-on activities, astronomy (with large and small telescopes and a planetarium), virtual reality goggles, mini-drones to fly, mini-robots to control, 3-D printing, demos, glowing light optics, rocks, build-and-launch paper rockets and more. Oh, yes--and who could forget "space Ice cream"? A special presentation, "The Expanding Universe--How? Why?" might interest upper-level Girl Scouts who enjoy scientific inquiry.
