Planned giving is a way of supporting non-profits and charities that allows philanthropic individuals to donate more than they normally could, given their current income or financial situation. Some planned gifts offer the donor a life-long income. Others use estate and tax planning techniques to maximize the gift and minimize its impact on the donor's estate. Most result in significant tax benefits.
Planned gifts can include bequests through wills or living trusts, charitable remainder trusts, and gift annuities. You can also name our council as a full or partial beneficiary to a life insurance policy or retirement account. Our council can also help plan for gifts of real estate, personal property, and securities.
