“The work of today is the history of tomorrow, and we are its
makers.” -Juliette Gordon Low
Juliette Gordon
Low, the founder of Girl Scouts, believed that every girl had the
right to be a Girl Scout. Today, we continue this tradition by
providing support to ensure every girl who wants to be a Girl Scout
can do so. Girl Scouts are encouraged to use financial literacy
programs, such as the Cookie Program and Candy, Nut & Magazine Program to raise
funds for troop activities while learning vital business skills,
however, these programs do not always fulfill the needs of girls with
significant financial obstacles. Proudly supported
by generous donors, including members of Daisy’s Circle (GSKSMO’s monthly giving
program), the Opportunity Fund provides assistance for a variety of
areas so girls may achieve their Girl Scouting dreams.
