Girls will learn the fundamentals of tennis, build confidence through fun on-court games, and explore how fitness and teamwork create a healthy lifestyle—all while earning the Practice with Purpose badge. Whether she’s new to the game or a returning player, every Girl Scout will leave ready to serve up some fun!
Event Details
Location: Overland Park Racquet Club, 6800 W 91st Street, Overland Park, KS 66212
Supervision: This is NOT a drop-off event. Troop Leaders/caregivers are required to provide an appropriate ADULT-to-Girl Scout ratio and supervision for their attending Girl Scout and/or troop throughout the event/activity, per the Girl Scouts Safety Activity Checkpoints.
Tagalongs: No, tagalongs are not allowed.
Any Forms Required: No
Cost: $18 per Girl Scout (includes badge and snack. Does not reflect the service fee.)
Registration Deadline: January 5, 2026
What to Expect/Additional Information
- Open to Juniors (Grades 4–5); a Cadette session will follow from 3–5 PM.
- No equipment needed — all tennis gear provided!
- Includes interactive instruction, games, and teamwork-based activities.
- Earns the Practice with Purpose badge, which is included in registration.
- Adults will have designated viewing areas.
- Space is limited — register early!
What to Wear & Bring
- Wear non-marking athletic shoes and comfortable, movement-friendly clothing.
- Bring a water bottle.
Parking & Arrival
Free parking is available at the Overland Park Racquet Club. Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to check in.
