Beth Winters Memorial Scholarship toggle arrow

Beth Winters, daughter of Joyce and George Termini and the late Charles Winters, moved through life with grace, tenacity, and a soaring spirit – exemplifying the highest ideals of Girl Scouting.

Although Beth is no longer with us on earth, the Beth Winters’ Scholarship Fund captures her spirit by annually recognizing an Ambassador Girl Scout of high ideals.

Scholarship Criteria:

  • Must have completed Silver Award, preference will be given to those who have also completed their Gold Award
  • Unweighted High School GPA of 3.5 or above (on a 4.0 scale)
  • The recipient must attend an accredited college, university, or trade school program
  • Weight will be given to exceptional Girl Scout involvement

Beth Winters Scholarship renewal process

Past recipients may renew their scholarship for one additional year, pending fund availability. To renew, the recipient must submit verification of their enrollment status at an accredited college or university and current GPA (minimum 3.1 on a 4.0 scale) to the council.

The deadline to renew funding is July 1 of the year they would like to renew funding.

The Spirit Scholarship toggle arrow

The Spirit Scholarship was established by lifetime Girl Scout and highest award recipient Connie Ehrlich Davis, in memory of her parents, Maxine and O.J. Ehrlich.

Connie’s parents were tireless supporters of her participation in Girl Scouting – recognizing the experiences would help develop strong leadership skills and confidence – while also being big believers in the importance of further education. They were committed to ensuring that Connie had every opportunity to benefit from scouting and an education.

It is in their “spirit” of wisdom that this scholarship is awarded to girls who demonstrate academic excellence and uphold the highest ideals of Girl Scouting.

Scholarship Criteria:

  • Gold Award Completed by March 31, 2026
  • Unweighted High School GPA of 3.5 or above (on a 4.0 scale)
  • The recipient must attend an accredited college, university, or trade school program
  • Preference will be given to those with higher financial need

The Spirit Scholarship renewal process

Past recipients may renew their scholarship for three additional years, pending fund availability. To renew, the recipient must submit verification of their enrollment status at an accredited college or university and current GPA (minimum 3.1 on a 4.0 scale) to the council annually.

The deadline to renew funding is July 1 of the year they would like to renew funding.

The Artemis Scholarship toggle arrow

The Artemis Scholarship was established by Carla and Steve Wiegers. As the parents of two girls, Carla, a lifetime Girl Scout and troop leader, and Steve were actively involved in Scouting. Carla and Steve encouraged girls within their daughter troops to earn the highest awards – ten girls between both troops earned their Gold Award. These troops loved to travel and challenge themselves through adventure. As they did when they were younger, even today these Girl Scouts support one another and hold each other accountable to reach their goals – truly modeling what it means to be a Sister to Every Girl Scout.

The Greek goddess “Artemis” is associated with the outdoors, self-sufficiency, and outward goodness of her reflective soul – much like Girl Scouts. Steve and Carla created this scholarship to be awarded to girls who demonstrate academic excellence, risk-taking and leadership to uphold the highest ideals of Girl Scouting. This is a one-year scholarship with no renewal.

Scholarship Criteria:

  • Gold Award Completed by March 31, 2026
  • Unweighted High School GPA of 3.1 or above (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Attend an accredited college, university, or trade school program
  • Preference will be given to a girl who demonstrates exceptional Leadership
The Geraldine Weldon Scholarship toggle arrow

During a time when women faced barriers that made it more difficult to reach their educational and professional goals, Gerry Pressly Weldon embodied the best of Girl Scouting. In honor of Gerry’s tenacity and fortitude, Gerry’s daughter, Vickie Trott, established this scholarship.

As a young woman during WWII, Gerry was among a select group of “mathematically advanced” women, graduating from the Curtiss-Wright Aeronautic Engineering program focused on advanced mathematics, aerodynamics, engineering, and design. This elite 10-month program was sponsored by the federal government and was only offered at seven universities across the country. Upon completing the program, Gerry worked at one of the C-W airplane manufacturing plants as a draftsperson while continuing her education at night and ultimately graduating with her degree in mathematics in 1945 and an MBA at the age of 58.

Gerry was a Girl Scout Troop Leader and threw herself into the Girl Scout experience – taking all the leader and outdoor training available, buying camping gear, and teaching her daughters to camp. Long after her Troop Leader days, Gerry continued those outdoor experiences with her granddaughters and volunteered as the day camp “tie-dye lady” and adult camper on overnights.

Vickie created this scholarship to be awarded to girls who demonstrate academic excellence and upload the highest ideals of Girl Scouting – just as her mother did.

Scholarship Criteria:

  • Unweighted High School GPA of 3.5 or above (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Gold Award Completed by March 31, 2026
  • The recipient must attend an accredited college, university, or trade school program
  • Preference will be given to those with higher financial need

The Geraldine Weldon Scholarship renewal process

Past recipients may renew their scholarship for three additional years, pending fund availability. To renew, the recipient must submit verification of their enrollment status at an accredited college, university, or trade school and current GPA (minimum 3.1 on a 4.0 scale) to the council annually.

The deadline to renew funding is July 1 of the year they would like to renew funding.
