adventure for the whole family at GirlFest 2025!
Families are invited to explore dozens of interactive booths and activities led by local community partners. Kids of all ages—boys and girls—can try their hand at everything from science experiments to roller derby, theatre, art, and more.
Here's a sneak peek of what you'll find:
- Science & STEM: Create your own bouncy ball with MilliporeSigma, build a paper roto-copter with the Museum at PrairieFire, or design a binary code bracelet with STARBASE Kansas City.
- Arts & Culture: Dress up in Shakespearean costumes with the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival or make a travel-inspired keepsake with the Toy & Miniature Museum.
- Sports & Action: Race to gear up in roller derby pads with the KC Roller Warriors or learn derby rules in five minutes or less.
- Animals & Nature: Craft western-themed keepsakes at the Owl Prowl booth.
- Community & Service: Help Harvesters by making cards for seniors, creating reusable tote bags from old t-shirts, or donating canned goods at the event.
Plus—dance to a live DJ, watch stage performances, grab some food, and enjoy a day of discovery and excitement.
