Join Girl Scouts CARE for a morning working in the garden! This month we will be volunteering with Urban Produce Push in one of their three gardens in Kansas City to help pick produce. UPP KC is helping to fight hunger and reduce food waste across the Greater Kansas City area.
Event Details
- Location: TBD in Kansas City, MO
- Event Date: September 19th
- Event Length: 9:00 am - 11:00 am (2 hours)
- Supervision: This is NOT a drop-off event. Troop Leaders/caregivers are required to provide appropriate ADULT safety ratio and supervision for their attending Girl Scout and/or troop throughout the event/activity, per Girl Scouts Safety Activity Checkpoints
- Tagalongs: Yes, tagalongs are allowed
- Any Forms Required: Yes

What to Expect/Additional Information:
- Be prepared to get dirty, we will be working outside, in a garden.
- The exact address will be communicated the week prior to the event once we know which of their gardens can accommodate our group.
What to Wear & Bring
- Water bottle, snacks and close toe shoes. Garden gloves and tools to be provided.
