Think fast, work together, and explore Kansas City like never before! During the Amazing Race, your team will use a mobile app to unlock challenges, complete fun activities, and earn points while traveling along the KC Streetcar route. Every challenge is optional, so your team gets to create its own strategy—deciding where to go, which challenges to tackle, and how to maximize your score before time runs out.
Challenges include photo and video missions, trivia, puzzles, and unique experiences at landmarks and partner locations throughout downtown Kansas City. Whether you're racing for points, discovering hidden gems, or making memories with your teammates, every stop offers a new adventure.
The event is designed with age-appropriate race routes so every participant has an exciting experience:
No two teams will race the same way—the choices are yours. Will you go for the highest-value challenges, the easiest points, or the most adventurous experiences? The fastest team isn't always the winner—strategy, teamwork, and creativity are just as important!
Event Details
- Location: Union Station & Downtown Kansas City (KC Streetcar Route)
- Supervision: This is NOT a drop-off event. Troop leaders/caregivers are required to provide appropriate adult supervision and maintain Girl Scout Safety Activity Checkpoint ratios throughout the event.
- Tagalongs: No, tagalongs are not allowed.
- Cost: $30 per participant
- Registration Deadline: 10/7/26
What to Expect/Additional Information
- This event takes place primarily outdoors and will be held rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the weather.
- Participants should bring a refillable water bottle and any personal items they need to comfortably explore downtown Kansas City throughout the day.
- More detailed event logistics, including check-in instructions and race information, will be emailed to registered participants closer to the event.

2:30 PM All Girl Scout Races End (Teams return to Union Station on a rolling basis.)
3:00 PM Closing Ceremony & Awards
Please note: Race routes and challenge locations vary by age level to provide an engaging, age-appropriate experience for every participant. Teams should plan to stay for the Closing Ceremony, where winners will be announced and prizes awarded.
